For large product volumes, special sizes can be provided on demand and against payment for any development costs which may be incurred.

3. Is the system reusable?

Yes – provided it is in perfect condition after the previous usage. If the coolers have been emptied the ABSOLUTE COLD coolant must be replaced.

4. How is the cold chain ensured?

Scientific tests in certified laboratories monitor the temperature throughout transit time (temperature graphs).

Proper sealing and opening respectively resealing are necessary. Each opening and sealing during the transport is documented on a table affixed to the box.

5. What components does the box consist of?

1.

Special exterior cardboard

2.

Insulation foam

3.

specially coated aluminum box

4.

Two coolers with ABSOLUTE COLD coolant

6. Which products are excluded?

Generally, there are no restrictions, so the standard packaging and transport regulations apply.

7. Does the system require trained personnel?

No. After a brief introduction to the system, it can be handled by instructed personnel.

8. Does transport require special cool room facilities?

No, the ColdSAFE PLUS and ColdSAFE MINUS-systems maintain the temperature range for either 24, 48 or 96 hours without active cooling or exchanging/ re-freezing the coolers.

9. Does transport incur any additional customs or Dangerous Goods charges?

The ABSOLUTE COLD system does not contain any dry ice. So no extra safety fees for Dangerous Goods or any other special fees will be charged.

10. Can the goods only be transported by cargo aircraft under special restrictions or temperatures?

Concerning the packaging systems: no

11. Can freezer burn occur if the product gets into contact with the refrigerants utilized?

No. Please contact us for more details.

12. How long do the coolers have to be kept in the freezer?

ColdSAFE MINUS coolers: 48 h minimum (at 26°degrees Celsius below zero
resp. 15° degrees F).

ColdSAFE PLUS coolers: 24 h minimum (at 15° degrees Celsius below zero
resp. 5° degrees F).

13. Can a normal freezer be used?

Yes.

14. Can the coolers be filled with ordinary water?

Yes. But please make sure that the cooler contains the required ABSOLUTE COLD coolant.

15. Are there any differences between the handling of the coolers for the plus-and those for the minus temperature levels?

Yes, concerning the storage in the freezer (see 12), no, concerning the box assembly.

16. Are the individual components of the box reusable?

Yes

The systems can only function if all original components of the particular system are used according to size (inner volume), transit time (24, 48, 96 hours) and temperature range (PLUS/ MINUS). Please focus especially on the fact that the coolers must always and exclusively be provided with the ABSOLUTE COLD coolant.
